Hair Burns Like Grass is an exploration of the legacy of the popular 15th century. Poet-saint Sant Kabir in modern Varanasi. Orijit Sen tries to unravel the different legends and historical narratives related to Kabir’s life, building them up around the story of a man with a failing memory. Lines from Kabir’s poetry flow across and through rich, dream-like imagery. It was first published as part of Pao: The Anthology of Comics published by Penguin India, in 2012.
